"KOI Pond" is one of the famous keycap concepts in the artisans world. Inspired by the colorful and graceful KOI fish in Japanese culture, the artisans created a very lively keycap and was one of the first keycap models to create a water-like landscape inside the tiny 1U keycap.
KOI is one of the most popular artisan keycap models and also one of the most high-detailed difficult-to-make keycap models. There are many video tutorials on how to make Keycap KOI on the Internet but we are sure that making a KOI fish swimming in calm water is not that easy.
The Keycap KOI model requires the maker to accurately time the ink into the resin layers create "colored mushrooms" and "colored moss" under the water, and the colored KOI fish must be really "floating" right on top of it, all must be precisely and proportionally placed within a space of just 1-2mm apart.

-- HOW IT'S MADE:
Confident as one of the biggest and most seriously invested keycap workshops in Vietnam, we possess the full equipment, people, skills and knowledge to produce the most professional custom keycap products.
Each product, when it reaches you, goes through 12 carefully controlled production steps:
Step 1: The product idea is sketched
Step 2: mold or design in 3D to make the first prototype. The prototype be considered and refine multiple times.
Step 3: The basic shape of the keycap is 3D printed
Step 4: The 3D printed model is washed with a special solution
Step 5: Illuminate the model under UV lamp
Step 6: Paint the base coat for the keycap
Step 7: Paint multiple layers of color, from large color patches to color details as small as 0.1mm
Step 8: Pour the resin
Step 9: The keycap mold is compressed in a high-pressure cage to remove air bubbles, creating absolute clarity
Step 10: Cut the excess details
Step 11: Go through 10-12 stages of extremely detail grinding and polishing to create a mirror-like shine
Step 12: Check each and every finishied keycap put into box
Each required step is performed by skilled artisans with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience.

- Depending on the position you wish to put the keycap in, the size would vary from 1U to 6.25U in which:
- 1U for single letter/Fx key
- 1.5U for Tab
- 1.75U for Caps Lock
- 2U for BackSpace
- 2.25U for Enter/Shift
- 6,25U for Space

The processing time vary for each item. Usually it takes us about 3-4 days to finish the production, however sometime the finished item does not look really perfect and we may decide to make start over.
